On Sundays growing up, we went to church. Sure, we may have stumbled in late pretty often, but we made the effort to clean up and go. 🙃
Not only did we go to church on Sundays, but the only music we had on in the car was The Fish (fm radio). If we asked to change the station, we were told, “no, it’s Sunday.” To this day, I feel better when I have 95.5 The Fish on my radio on Sundays. That’s the thing about traditions.
“Raise up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
This was on my mind today because I didn’t make it to church, but I had my own worship. I made it to the gym after getting to sleep in, and I had my worship music on to pump me up. (Worship music (CCM – Christian Contemporary Music) has come a long way. I really dig some of the bands and artists and what they’re doing today.) I believe that if you aren’t worshiping alone, you won’t be prepared to worship with others.
